Driving Tips
- Thailand drives on the LEFT — take extra care at roundabouts and turns
- Tolls on motorways accept cash or Easy Pass — keep small bills handy
- U-turns are frequent on Thai roads — follow signs, don't cross barriers
- Parking in Pattaya: most malls offer free parking, street parking is hit-or-miss
- Speed cameras are common on Highway 7 (Bangkok–Pattaya motorway)
- Fuel is cheap: ~35 baht/liter for gasoline, ~30 for diesel (2026 prices)
- Don't park on red-white painted curbs — your car will be towed or clamped
- Drive defensively — motorbikes will appear from every direction
