Our mission
Pattaya Knowledge exists to be the most useful, accurate and current guide to Pattaya, Thailand. We serve short-stay tourists, expats, retirees, families, digital nomads and long-stay visitors. We are not a paid travel agency; we publish editorially.
Editorial principles
- Accuracy first. Where we don't know, we say so. Where information has changed, we update or remove it.
- Reader interest above advertiser interest. Sponsored content is clearly labelled. Editorial recommendations are independent.
- Transparency. Last-reviewed dates are visible on every major factual page.
- Safety-led. On legal, medical, visa, financial, transport and safety topics, we prefer caution and link to authoritative sources.
- Local voice. We rely on locally based contributors who actually live in or regularly visit Pattaya.
Who writes our content
Our editorial team comprises long-term Pattaya residents and contributors from the expat, retiree, family and tourist communities. We do not publish AI-only content without human editorial review.
How we review
Major factual pages (legal, visa, medical, safety, areas, costs) are reviewed at least every six months and updated as conditions change. Every page shows the date it was last reviewed.
Errors and corrections
We are a small team and make mistakes. If you see one, please use our report incorrect info form. We log all material corrections publicly on our corrections page.
Conflicts of interest
Where editorial staff have a financial or personal relationship with a subject (a hospital, restaurant, condo, or other business), we disclose it inline. Affiliate links and advertising are disclosed on our affiliate disclosure and advertising disclosure pages.
