Safety Tips
Always meet in public places — 7-Eleven or mall food courts are popular meeting spots
For electronics, test everything before paying. Ask to see it powered on
Negotiate — asking prices are usually 10–30% above what sellers will accept
For vehicles, check registration papers (เล่ม) and make sure the name matches the seller
Beware of too-good-to-be-true deals — scams exist on Facebook groups
For furniture, measure your space first — Thai condo rooms are smaller than you think
Best time to buy: end of tourist season (April–May) when short-term expats leave
Cash is king — most private sellers don't accept transfers from foreign banks
