A standard paintball session (100–200 rounds) costs 500–800 THB per person. Premium packages with 300–500 rounds run 1,000–1,500 THB. Most venues offer all-inclusive pricing covering marker rental, mask, coveralls, and a set number of paintballs. Extra paintballs can be purchased for 1–3 THB per ball. Group discounts kick in at 10+ players — expect 10–20% off per person.
Top Paintball Venues
Pattaya Paintball Park on Soi Khao Noi features multiple themed fields including jungle, urban warfare, and speedball arenas. Combat Zone Paintball near Mabprachan Lake has a large outdoor woodland field ideal for scenario games. Several resorts along Jomtien also offer paintball as part of activity packages. Most venues are located on the outskirts of Pattaya where space allows for proper field setups.
Group Packages & Team Building
Group packages for 10–20 players start at 400 THB per person including 150 rounds each. Corporate team-building packages (20+ players) include a dedicated referee, team vests, scoring, and strategy briefings for 800–1,200 THB per person. Birthday party packages add pizza, drinks, and a private area for 600–900 THB per person. Most venues can accommodate groups up to 50 players across multiple fields.
Safety Equipment & Rules
All reputable venues provide full-face masks (mandatory at all times on the field), padded coveralls or vests, and neck protectors. Minimum age is typically 10–12 years. Barrel plugs must be inserted when off-field. Chronograph testing ensures markers fire below 300 fps. Never remove your mask on the field — this is the number one safety rule. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory; long pants recommended.
What to Wear
Wear clothes you don't mind getting stained — paint washes out of most fabrics but can permanently mark light colors. Long sleeves and pants reduce sting from hits. Dark colors are better for concealment. Bring a change of clothes. Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes with grip — the fields can be muddy. Avoid sandals, flip-flops, or expensive sneakers. Gloves help protect hands from close-range shots.
Session Duration & Format
A typical session lasts 1.5–2 hours including briefing, gearing up, and 4–6 game rounds. Each round runs 10–15 minutes depending on game type. Popular formats: Capture the Flag, Team Deathmatch, VIP Escort, and Last Man Standing. Most venues offer both morning (9–11 AM) and afternoon (2–5 PM) sessions. Weekday sessions tend to be less crowded with more field time per person.
Game Types Available
Speedball features inflatable bunkers on a flat field — fast-paced, 3v3 or 5v5. Woodsball uses natural terrain and larger teams for tactical gameplay. Scenario games involve objectives like bomb defusal or hostage rescue. Some venues offer mag-fed paintball for a more realistic experience at a premium price. Night paintball with UV paint is available at select venues on weekends (add 200–300 THB).
Paintball vs Airsoft in Pattaya
Paintball uses larger projectiles that mark on impact — you can see who's been hit. Airsoft uses smaller BBs and relies on the honor system. Paintball hurts slightly more but leaves visible marks. Airsoft markers look more realistic. Paintball is better for casual groups and first-timers. Several Pattaya venues offer both options, so you can try each. Airsoft tends to be cheaper per session.
Best Time to Play
Early morning (8–10 AM) or late afternoon (3–5 PM) avoids the worst heat. Rainy season (June–October) adds mud and puddles — some love it, others find it slippery. Dry season (November–March) offers the most comfortable conditions. Weekdays are significantly less crowded. Book weekend sessions at least 2–3 days in advance, especially for groups of 10+.
Tournaments & Events
Some venues host monthly tournaments open to walk-in teams (4–6 players). Entry fees run 500–800 THB per team with prizes for winners. Annual events during Songkran and New Year attract larger crowds. Corporate tournament packages include trophies, photos, and post-game BBQ. Check venue Facebook pages for upcoming events and registration details.
Booking Tips
Book at least 24 hours in advance — walk-ins are possible on weekdays but not guaranteed on weekends. Most venues accept LINE for reservations. Ask about current promotions — many venues run weekday specials. Some offer free transport from central Pattaya for groups of 8+. Confirm all inclusions (rounds, gear, drinks) before paying. Many venues are cash-only — bring sufficient Thai baht.
Tips for First-Timers
Stay behind cover and move between bunkers — don't stand in the open. Communicate with your team. Keep your mask on at all times. Don't be afraid of getting hit — it stings briefly but isn't painful. Shoot in short bursts to conserve ammo. Stay hydrated — you'll sweat heavily in the gear. Have fun — paintball in Pattaya is one of the best group activities available.
