Gentlemen's Clubs & Entertainment
An honest guide to Pattaya's adult entertainment zones — venues, prices, etiquette, and safety advice
Entertainment Areas
Walking Street
Pattaya's most famous nightlife strip. Over 100 venues including go-go bars, clubs, and live music venues. Open nightly from 6PM onwards. Most concentrated entertainment zone in Southeast Asia.
Tip: Arrive after 10PM for the full experience. Drink prices are higher than elsewhere — 150–250 THB for beer.
Soi 6 (Short Bars)
Infamous short-bar street in Central Pattaya. Small open-air bars with pool tables. More of a daytime and early evening scene. Budget-friendly drinks.
Tip: Very different atmosphere from Walking Street. More casual, open-air format.
LK Metro
Compact entertainment zone off Soi Diana. Mix of beer bars, go-go bars, and restaurants. More relaxed than Walking Street with a regular crowd.
Tip: Good starting point for those new to Pattaya nightlife. Less overwhelming than Walking Street.
Soi Buakhao
Long street with bars, restaurants, and local nightlife. Mix of expat bars, live music, and Thai karaoke venues. More diverse and local-feeling than Walking Street.
Tip: Better value drinks. Wednesday and Saturday night markets add to the atmosphere.
Tree Town (Soi Made in Thailand)
Growing entertainment area with newer venues, live music, and a mix of Thai and international clientele.
Tip: Less well-known to tourists, more local Thai nightlife scene.
Safety & Etiquette
- Always agree on prices before ordering drinks or services
- Keep valuables secure — use hotel safes for passports and excess cash
- Drink responsibly — Thailand's drunk driving laws carry serious penalties
- Use Grab/Bolt for transport home — don't rent a motorbike if drinking
- Bar fines and lady drink prices should be clearly stated before agreeing
- Be aware that some areas have curfew hours (2AM in most venues)
- Respect performers and staff — photography rules vary by venue
- Watch for common scams: inflated bills, gem scams, and jet ski damage claims
