Education Visa (ED Visa)
What is an ED visa?
Education visa (Non-ED) allows you to stay in Thailand while studying at an approved school. Valid for 1 year with 90-day reporting.
Requirements
Passport valid 6+ months, school enrollment confirmation, 2 passport photos, application fee ~2,000 baht, processed at Thai embassy/consulate.
Attendance rules
Most schools require minimum 4 hours/week attendance. Immigration may check. Missing too many classes can result in visa cancellation.
Cost for ED visa processing
Schools typically charge 5,000–15,000 baht for visa processing assistance on top of tuition fees.
