    Step-by-Step Process

    1

    Verify Eligibility

    Confirm you're 50+ years old with sufficient funds or income.

    Submit application at Thai embassy/consulate in your home country.

    The 800,000 THB Rule
    The 800,000 THB must be in a Thai bank account for 2 months BEFORE your extension application, and remain there for 3 months AFTER. After that, the balance can drop to 400,000 THB.
