While Koh Phangan hosts Thailand's most famous full moon party, Pattaya has developed its own monthly full moon events at beachfront clubs and open-air venues. These parties run from 21:00 to 04:00, featuring international DJs, fire shows, UV body paint stations, and themed dance floors. Entry typically costs 500–1,500 THB including one or two drinks. Pattaya's version attracts a mix of expats, tourists, and Thai party-goers.

Beachfront clubs along Pattaya Beach Road and Jomtien host regular full moon events. Walking Street mega-clubs throw themed full moon nights with extended hours. Beach clubs near Na Jomtien offer open-air events with sand dance floors and ocean views. Some rooftop venues at major hotels also run full moon cocktail parties — more upscale, 1,500–2,000 THB entry with premium drinks included.

Full moon parties happen on or within 1–2 days of the actual full moon each month. Peak season events (November–March) are larger and more frequent, sometimes spanning 2–3 nights. Songkran (April) and New Year full moons are the biggest events of the year.

Pattaya lets you party and return to your condo the same night. Koh Phangan is a multi-day commitment. Pattaya events are more polished and venue-based; Koh Phangan is raw beach chaos. Both are fun — different vibes.

Arrive at 21:00–22:00 for a good spot and shorter entry queues. The party peaks between midnight and 02:00. Some people pre-game at nearby bars until 23:00 then head to the main event. After 02:00, energy winds down at most venues though some continue until 04:00. After-parties happen at late-night clubs on Walking Street. Eating before the event is essential — food options at venues are limited and overpriced.

Fire shows are a signature element of full moon events in Thailand. Performers spin fire poi, breathe fire, and dance with flaming staffs on the beach. Shows typically happen at 23:00 and 01:00.
