    Weather cancellations are common May-October

Rough seas cancel individual runs, not the whole day's schedule. Check the Koh Larn Municipality Facebook page (koh.larn.pattaya) on the morning of your trip.

    Practical tips

    • Arrive 15 minutes early — public ferries fill up on weekends and can leave slightly ahead of schedule if full.
    • Bring cash — ticket booths at Bali Hai and Na Ban don't accept cards. Small notes preferred.
    • The last ferry from Koh Larn is 18:00. Miss it and you're on a speedboat (฿400 per person minimum charter for solo) or staying overnight.
    • Speedboat operators quote per-boat; solo travelers pay the full boat rate unless you find others to share.
    • Motion-sick? Sit at the back of the public ferry — less pitching. Speedboats are consistently the roughest ride.
    • Bring a waterproof bag for the speedboat — spray on choppy days will soak whatever's on the outside deck.
